SMALL, SLOW AND NEVER OVER-PRODUCED
We’re a micro-business and aim to stay that way. Inkeri Glova is the founder, designer and photographer (responsible for marketing, customer service, shipping, keeping on top of emails, etc.) behind Arctic Flamingo. After practising yoga for several years, curiosity and the need for her own unique leggings got her thinking about how to create leggings herself. She opened an Etsy shop in 2015 and many attempts and failures later, the leggings left the sewing table in her living room and made their way into the wide world. Year or two later she realisized that in order to grow and make the business profitable and reasonable, she needed to find a partner who does the sewing for her. Nowadays all the leggings are sewn by Mrs. Stieglitz in Sachsen, Germany and Inkeri can concentrate on everything else.
By producing in Germany and keeping it small and simple, our supply chain is small too, which means that we can ensure that the people making our yoga leggings remain happy and fairly paid. We want you to know exactly where your leggings come from! Consciously keeping our yoga leggings collection small and at a much more sustainable pace that’s kinder to the planet. We don´t bring new collections to market every season, we love freestyling and bring new designs to our online shop only when we feel like it. We hope our bold and vibrant prints inspire our community to live honestly and tackle climate change by starting to reduce our desires and cravings in the first place.
